Weekly Prep Thread 29 June - 5 July
 

I started with 71 big boy and bush goliath tomatoes and finished with 6 quarts of stewed tomato goodness with enough left over for supper. About the same amount will be ready to pick by next weekend. Only enough cucumbers for 7 quarts of dill pickles, as I've been giving away cucumbers to the neighbors.

Earlier this week, I pickled 6 pints of jalape�os.

Picked our first eggplant of the season! Gotta love fried eggplant.

Other than that, I picked up 12 non-food grade 5 gallon buckets for free that I'll use to plant next year.

How are y'all making out?

How did those pickles turn out? Did you grow the tomatoes and cukes?
